The Tahoe Five Peaks Challenge (“T5”) is a self‑guided, self‑supported endurance challenge. It involves strenuous physical activity, high‑altitude environments, variable weather, and inherent risks.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

• You are solely responsible for your own safety
• You understand the physical demands of the challenge
• You will prepare appropriately and use sound judgment
• You accept all risks associated with hiking, driving, and outdoor travel

The T5 is not a race, organized event, or guided activity unless explicitly stated for the annual event.

To participate, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent
• Be physically capable of completing strenuous mountain travel
• Register truthfully and accurately

We reserve the right to decline or remove registrations that contain false or misleading information.

When registering, you agree to provide accurate information including:

• Name
• Contact information
• Planned attempt date
• Emergency contact

You also agree to follow all participant guidelines provided on the website or in confirmation emails.

To be officially recognized:

• You must complete all five peaks within a 24‑hour window
• You must submit your completion time through the official form
• You may optionally provide GPS verification

We reserve the right to request additional information if needed to verify your attempt.

If you choose to be publicly listed, your:

• Name
• City
• Completion date
• Completion time

may appear on the leaderboard or Hall of Fame.

You may opt out during registration or request removal at any time.

By participating, you agree that:

• You are responsible for your own navigation
• You will obey all trail rules, closures, and regulations
• You will drive safely between trailheads
• You will carry appropriate gear, food, and water
• You will respect wildlife, trails, and local communities

You understand that conditions may change rapidly and that you must make your own decisions regarding safety.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Tahoe Five Peaks Challenge, its organizers, and its affiliates are not liable for:

• Injuries, accidents, or medical issues
• Lost, stolen, or damaged property
• Trail conditions, weather, or environmental hazards
• Errors in posted information
• Any damages arising from participation in the challenge

Participation is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.

You agree not to:

• Misuse the website
• Attempt to access restricted areas
• Submit false or harmful information
• Interfere with site functionality

We may modify or discontinue any part of the website at any time.

Registration fees (if applicable):

• Are processed through third‑party payment providers
• Are non‑refundable unless otherwise stated
• Do not guarantee completion or recognition
